While on Techettes it might look like I spend my days searching out Michael Jackson flash mobs and attending web conferences , in fact the majority of my time is spent in the offices of rockin’ London start up Spoonfed , helping Londoners discover the best the city has to offer through Spoonfed’s fantastic web and mobile events guide. Because Spoonfed has spent what feels like forever talking about everyone else’s London events, it seems like the time is right for a Spoonfed party of our own.

I Heart Spoonfed takes over the east London party scene on 10 September at The Macbeth in Hoxton from 8pm to 2am and everyone is invited. Entry is free and the party kicks off with a free BBQ on the roof terrace at The Macbeth. For tunes, some of our favourite promoters are sending down their top DJs to keep the music going all night long.

Of course, the date 10 September might sound familiar to the tech-savvy amongst you as this also marks the night of the charity event Twestival that sees Twitter-folk around the world meeting up with other local Tweeple to have conversations longer than 140 characters.

Luckily for all you very popular people who’ve been invited to both events, we have a solution – do both! Twestival kicks off at the respectable time of 7pm, and as the Spoonfed crew will be down in Shoreditch with our free BBQ from 8pm till late, there’s nothing stopping you from making I Heart Spoonfed your after-party of choice. We intend to boogie on well into Friday morning, but if you still don’t believe it’s possible to have your cake and eat it too, look out for a few friendly Spoonfed faces that’ll also be dropping in on Twestival that evening. (including yours truly!) to support the fantastic charity event and coordinate some transport between the two techie shindigs.

Transport between the two parties should take about 15-20 minutes. Simply hop the Northern Line from London Bridge after you’ve made your Twestival appearance and exit at Old Street where The Macbeth is a few minutes walk away from the station. If you want to ensure your entry to the I Heart Spoonfed party, get yourself on the guest list by texting ’spoon party’ to 89080.

Thursday is already shaping up to be one hell of a night out in London. With Twestival kicking off the evening and I Heart Spoonfed providing the free rockin’ after party, the only question remains is" what excuse are you going to use on Friday morning?
