Twestival and Shout

7 September 2009 One Comment FavoriteLoadingAdd to favorites

They say charity begins at home, but one big thinking event wants to prove that charity begins online – in 140 characters. The second Twestival, a global Twitter-organised charity event is coming up this week and if you haven’t logged onto your local Twestival page yet you may be spending just a bit too much time thinking about #anothertimewastingmeme.

Twestival Local events are taking place in cities around the world between 10-13 September 2009. If you would like to attend an event, volunteer or contribute, find your city on the Twestival homepage to see what’s already in the works near you. Twestival is an international movement where people meet offline for one night, have fun and do some good for an important cause in the process. Twestival Local gives cities an opportunity to select a local cause to support.

We’re big supporters of charity and you couldn’t keep us from Twitter with a government-strength security system so Twestival is an excellent way to combine a couple of interests and meet some local Techettes near you.
