What the Friv?

So the stats say women are casual gamers, huh? Click happy when it comes to flash puzzles while frightened of the Xbox controller? Well you’re going to buck the trend, break the demographic, shun the modern maj jong… right after you stop using Friv, that is.

Friv is just another of many online flash game libraries and consolidators but this funky site, with its minimalist interface and refreshing lack of advertising makes it a welcome change from sites that distract with overwhelming adverts – and we don’t take kindly to anything that threatens our high scores.

Friv also make the process of finding a game to play part of the fun. Graphic icons denote each game and the only way to really discover what each game entails is to click and explore for yourself. While Friv isn’t anything particularly new in concept, its collection of addicting games can really make you understand the attraction of casual gaming for all those other women.

Now, when you take a break from Dolphin Run and Raft Wars, we’ll let you get back to bucking the trend.
